American automotive reality television star Chip Foose and Catalyzed Fuel Technologies (CFT) are launching new engine technology that claims to be the "holy grail of fuel technology" and purported to be able to save companies millions in fuel costs and reducing emissions.

The Phoenix Performance Fuel Converter began tests in December 2013, and was found to be applicable for shipping vessels in addition to vehicles.

The system was also tested for use in engines burning diesel, gasoline, and natural gas, and was specifically engineered for fuel efficiency and cleaner emissions.

"It's the only device you can put into an engine that delivers a true ROI," said creator Scott Taucher.

The system claims that the technology converts normally unused large hydrocarbons into a combustible form, and therefore turning waste into an energy source.

University of Southern California (USC) Researchers also announced last week that it was in the process of developing new engine technology that could cut down on emissions and save on fuel costs.
