U.S. Looking for Bunker Suppliers to Fill Defence Contracts

The U.S. Defense Logistics Agency Energy (DLA-Energy) today said it is looking for bunker suppliers to service customers located in several U.S. states and territories.

According to solicitation number SP0600-14-R-0275, the total estimated quantity of fuel is in excess of 100 million gallons of IFO380, IFO180, and MGO for supply at various commercial and military ports.

The ports of supply are located in the states of Alabama, Alaska, Arkansas, California, Connecticut, Florida, Georgia, Hawaii, Kentucky, Louisiana, Maine, Maryland, Massachusetts, Michigan, Minnesota, Mississippi, Missouri, New Hampshire, New Jersey, New York, North Carolina, Ohio, Oklahoma, Oregon, Pennsylvania, Rhode Island, South Carolina, Tennessee, Texas, Virginia, Washington, and Wisconsin; Territories of American Samoa, Puerto Rico and the U.S. Virgin Islands.

The sources sought notice says its aim is to identify qualified manufacturers and / or refineries that are in business categories 8(a) Small Disadvantaged Businesses, Small Disadvantaged Businesses (SDB), Woman-owned Small Businesses (WOSB), or Historically Underutilized Business Zone (HUB Zone) Small Businesses Veteran-Owned Small Businesses (VOSB), and Service-Disabled Veteran-Owned Small Businesses (SDVOSB).

The deadline for response is August 29, 2014.
