Adrian Tolson today has left his position as Managing Director of Aegean Marine Petroleum Network Inc. [NYSE: ANW] (Aegean)'s U.S. subsidiary Aegean Oil USA LLC seven months after taking up the position, sources close to the matter have said.

Aegean, speaking to Ship & Bunker earlier today, said it would not be commenting on the development at this time, while Tolson was unavailable for comment.

Tolson is an extremely experienced and well known industry figure, and in addition to having been a speaker at many industry conferences he has held senior positions at a number of bunker companies including Vice President, Global Sales and Marketing at Chemoil, and Vice President, Marine Fuels, Noble Bunkering.

In October 2012 he joined OW Bunker as the now-defunct bunker company launched its physical bunker supply division in the U.S. where he oversaw the company's launch of physical supply operations in the Gulf of Mexico, Los Angeles and Long Beach, and New York and New Jersey.

Tolson had been widely tipped to join Aegean following the collapse of OW Bunker, and Aegean's subsequent buying of their U.S. assets, and in January 2015 was confirmed as Managing Director of Aegean Oil USA LLC.

Some reports today had suggested that Keith Richardson, who worked with Tolson at Chemoil, Noble, OW Bunker, and Aegean, has also left his role.

Ship & Bunker understands that this is not the case and Richardson is still with Aegean.
