GAS Entec Co., Ltd. (GAS Entec) today announced that they have delivered engineering service and a liquefied natural gas (LNG) cargo handling equipment package to the 2,200 cubic metre (cbm) LNG bunker barge being built for delivery to Clean Marine Energy LLC (CME).

As Ship & Bunker has previously reported, the LNG bunker barge has been ordered by WesPac Midstream LLC (WesPac) in cooperation with its affiliate CME, for ship operator Totem Ocean Trailer Express (TOTE).

"GAS Entec is taking charge of Engineering Basic/Detail design of LNG Cargo & Bunkering Handling System with supplying related main equipment and commissioning service as well," explained Gas Entec.

"This has remarkable meaning that small Korean Engineering firm has supplied main engineering service and equipment on the world first small scale membrane LNG bunkering vessel project in the USA."

GAS Entec notes that it is able to provide a competitive solution in the LNG Vessel Automation System Market with its integration automation service, iCAMS.

In November, Ship & Bunker reported that the delivery of the 2,200 cbm LNG bunker barge to CME had been delayed until early 2017.
