Japan's Bonded Bunker Sales See 4.5% Month on Month Decline

According to information from Japan's Ministry of Economy, Trade and Industry (METI), bonded bunker sales in the country fell to 2.243 million barrels during the month of June, a 4.5 percent decline from the previous month, Platts reports.

Meanwhile, Japan's bonded marine diesel oil sales in June reached 15,671 kiloliters, or 98,571 barrels, up 22.2 percent month on month and 99.7 percent year on year.

It is further noted that June did not see Japan import any bonded bunker fuel oil.

Last month, Ship & Bunker reported that Japan's bonded bunker sales reached 2.348 million barrels during the month of May, up 10.7 percent compared to April and 65.6 percent year on year.
