Update: Two Small Tankers Arrested in Singapore

Two small tankers have been arrested in Singapore, according to the latest records from the Supreme Court of Singapore.

The 6,700 dwt Viet Tin Lucky was arrested on August 20, 2016, at 10.48am following action by law firm Oon & Bazul LLP.

The vessel is controlled by Vietnam's Viet Trust Shipping and valued at $2.69 million, according to VesselsValue.com.

The following day, on August 21, 2016, the 2008-built tanker Semua Selamat was arrested following action by Gurbani & Co LLC.

VesselsValue.com data indicates the 8,000 dwt vessel is controlled by Malaysia's Semua Shipping and worth $7.44 million.

The circumstances leading to the arrests are currently unconfirmed, but reports have indicated the Viet Tin Lucky arrest is related to bunker payments.
