Arrested Suezmax Tanker Put up for Auction in Singapore

The arrested Suezmax tanker Ambassador has been put to auction in Singapore, according to the latest records from the Supreme Court of Singapore.

As Ship & Bunker has reported, the 1997-built Ambassador was arrested at 10:55 a.m. on January 19, 2017 following action by Gurbani & Co LLC.

Data from VesselsValue.com indicates the bulk carrier was controlled by Cyprus-based Transland Bulk Carriers (Transland) and has a market value of $8.43 million.

Court documents show that the net value of bunkers onboard the vessel is S$46,299 ($33,177), and must be paid at value for by the vessel purchaser in addition to the vessel's final sale price.

Bids, along with a deposit of S$50,000 ($35,829), must be submitted to Singapore's Sheriff's Office Legal Registry no later than 3 p.m. on April 12, 2017.
