Two Tankers Arrested in Singapore

Two tankers have been arrested in Singapore over the last week, according to records from the Supreme Court of Singapore.

The first, the 106,000 dwt Aframax Ocean Mare, was arrested last Friday April 22, 2016 following action from Kohe Hasan Law Corporation.

Data from VesselsValue.com indicates the 2006-built vessel is owned by India's Varun Shipping and worth $25.33 million.

Then on Monday April 25, 2016, the 159,500 dwt Eurohope was arrested following action from Global Law Alliance LLC.

Data from VesselsValue.com indicates the 1999-built Suezmax is controlled by Greece's Eurotankers and valued at $18.75 million.

The circumstances surrounding the arrests are currently unknown, but such action is common in cases of payment dispute.
