Dan-Bunkering: New Chief Representative, Relocations in Shanghai
Dan-Bunkering (Singapore) Pte. Ltd. (Dan-Bunkering) Shanghai Rep. Office Friday announced Alex Qin will now be the chief representative at the office in Shanghai, and Yong Geng will be relocating to Shanghai from the company's head office in Middlefart, Denmark.
Both changes are effective as of May 1, 2015.
Qin holds a a M.Sc. in Finance and International Business and began his time with Dan-Bunkering Group in 2006 as a bunker trader at the company's Middlefart office.
Since that time, "Qin has been promoted to senior bunker trader and team leader giving him, among other things, the responsibility of the team of Chinese traders based in the office in Middelfart," said Dan-Bunkering.
Qin replaces Søren Pedersen, who had held the chief representative position since 2007, and who has relocated to Singapore to take up a position as managing director within the Dan-Bunkering Group.
Geng will also be joining Qin in relocating to the Shanghai office from Middlefart, where he has spent three years as a bunker trader.
"The relocation is expected to allow Yong to advance his career within bunker trading even further as he is now situated in the very center of his particular focus area; i.e. the Chinese and South East Asian markets," said Dan-Bunkering of Geng's relocation.
