Bunker Jobs: Singapore-Based Marine Fuel Quality Manager Wanted
Ignition Global Consulting is doing a search for a Marine Fuel Quality Manager on behalf of a leading physical trading and supply business based in Singapore.
Responsibilities in this varied and challenging role will include:
- Making sure bunker fuel meets the correct specifications
- Managing all quality, quantity and demurrage complaints and claims relating to bunker sold
- Carry out investigations relating to complaints and claims
- Develop and implement internal quality assurance plan and monitor internal quality standards
- Provide sales support as the technical expert in the Asia Pacific region
- Involved in marketing the business as representative at trade shows, conferences, events etc
- Involvement in training of staff on fuel specification and quality matters
The ideal person for this role will have:
- Seafaring experience having sailed as Marine Engineer
- Shore based experience involved in marine fuel – could be at a trading house, with a ship owner, oil major, or marine fuel testing company
- Strong knowledge of marine diesel engines and marine fuel specifications and test methods
Our Client are a highly ethical business and have a successful high performance business culture. They can offer a market related salary which is likely to be in the region of SGD 100 - 140k.
