South Korean refiner Hyundai Oilbank will start supply of low sulfur bunkers this week from its Busan terminal located in the country's southeast, a company source has told energy news service Platts.

The supply of Emissions Control Area (ECA) compliant 380 cSt bunkers with a maximum sulfur content of 1.00 percent by weight will begin this Friday, June 14, they said.

Hyundai Oilbank currently supplies low sulfur bunker fuel to ports in the West of the country from its 390,000 barrels per day refinery in Daesan.

All four refiners in the country are now supplying low sulfur product. Fellow South Korean suppliers SK Energy and GS Caltex started sales of the low-sulfur product in June last year, while S-Oil began low sulfur bunker sales in April this year.
