Bunker barge owners in South Korea's Yeosu port returned to work Friday after a two week strike, Platts reports.

The barge owners were protesting regulations imposed after the ferry disaster that killed almost 300 people in April.

Platts reports that it is not clear whether the strikers' demands were met, but market sources said all barges have resumed normal operations, and the nation's four refiners were all offering bunker fuel for Yeosu delivery as of Friday.

The price for delivery of 380 cst bunker fuel for delivery to Yeosu had risen to $10 per metric tonne (pmt) above fuel being delivered to Busan ports following the strike.

While the strike was taking place, traders said it was possible to receive fuel in Yeosu only with extended wait times.
