Handymax Bulk Carrier Arrested in Singapore

A Handymax bulk carrier was arrested in Singapore early Monday morning, according to the latest records from the Supreme Court of Singapore.

The 1995-built Jahan was arrested at 2:50 a.m. on December 19, 2016 following action by Oon & Bazul LLP, records show.

Data from VesselsValue.com indicates the 45,700 DWT bulk carrier is controlled by Mariners Associates CTG Ltd and has a market value of $2.23 million.

The circumstances leading to the arrest are currently unknown, but such action is common in instances of payment dispute.
