Russia's Rosneft has made its first delivery of fuel oil to Greek refiner Hellenic Petroleum S.A. (Hellenic Petroleum) under a deal inked between the two parties earlier in the year, Russian media reports.

As previously reported by Ship & Bunker, among the terms of the deal is the potential for Rosneft to sell its products from Hellenic Petroleum's refineries for bunkering and trading.

"A 30,000 ton batch of fuel oil has been loaded on the tanker Kriti Rock at the port of Tuapse for subsequent transportation to the port of destination, Aspropyrgos," a statement published in Russian media read.

At the time the deal was signed, Rosneft's Chairman of the Board Igor Sechin said that, "Along with creating an extra channel of product sales, potential direct contracts will help us strengthen positions of Rosneft's trading division.
