UK-based supplier Geos Group (Geos) has announced it has increased its capacity for supplying fuel by road in the southeast of England, by securing the exclusive use of an additional fully qualified driver and road tanker

The tanker will transport fuel from the company's NuStar terminal in Grays on the River Thames, for delivery "to vessels in port between Portland in the southwest, and Boston in the northeast and all along the south and east coastlines."

"We decided to increase our capacity for road transportation from our Thames supply base in response to our customers' need for a fast, flexible, and responsive bunkering service," said Commercial Director Adrian Proctor.

Geos says the expansion coincides with the coming winter season, "when arranging transport for marine fuel usually becomes more challenging as drivers head inland to meet the increased demand for heating fuel."

Earlier this year, Geos made its first successful ex-rack delivery of marine gas oil (MGO) at the Port of Aberdeen, as well as signed a deal allowing Phillips 66 to operate all ex-rack road loading services from Geos' Port of Blyth storage facility.
