Update: New Physical Bunker Supplier Enters ARA Market

Sonan Bunkers has begun physical bunker supply operations in the ARA region effective July 1, 2016, the company has told Ship & Bunker.
Established in 2014 as a broker and trader, Sonan Bunkers has offices in London, Rio de Janeiro, Athens, Singapore, and Rotterdam.
"The Rotterdam Office, based in Dordrecht, will be active in the role of Physical supplier for the ARA, with its homebase, the port of Rotterdam," a company spoksperson told Ship & Bunker.
The office will meet the needs of both term contracted customers, as well as spot enquiries, they added.
In Rotterdam, Sonan Bunkers currently operates one barge, Barge Felicia, with a 1,850 cbm capacity and a pumping capacity of 450 cbm/hr.
HFO, ULSFO, and MGO are all offered to the latest ISO standards, with MGO also meeting the 0.10 percent sulfur cap for compliance with Emissions Control Area (ECA) regulations.
The company also offers a lubricant service to all its customers, either on a spot basis or under contract.
