Kriogaz, a subsidiary of Gazprombank, says it has started supplying liquefied natural gas (LNG) to Estonia's AS Eesti Gaas (Eesti Gaas) - a company that has a LNG bunker supply agreement with AS Tallink Grupp (Tallink) in relation to the ferry operator's new LNG-powered fast ferry, Baltic media reports.

Kriogaz is noted to buy its natural gas from Gazprom, selling it to Estonia via the company's 23,000 tonne capacity LNG plant in Pskov.

Richard Rudnitsky, CEO of Kriogaz, recently told media that the company intends to begin selling Russian LNG in Germany, the Czech Republic, and Poland, and is currently in negotiations to sell LNG in Latvia and Lithuania as well.

On Friday, Eesti Gaas confirmed that it had ordered eight modern semitrailers from Germany in order to moveĀ  LNG from Pskov to Estonia.

As Ship & Bunker previously reported, Tallink signed contracts with Eesti Gaas and Finland's Skangas AS (Skangas) for the supply of LNG to the ferry operator's new LNG-powered vessel, Megastar.
