Bunker Holding Group, the parent of 34 bunker companies, has hired the former global alliance manager at OW Bunker as its new manager of operations and projects, the company announced Thursday in an emailed release.

Kristian Kent Hughes will be based out of the Middelfart head office in Denmark, reporting to Group COO Søren Høll.

At his previous post with now-defunct OW Bunker, Hughes was responsible for forming partnerships with suppliers at ports, along with mergers and acquisitions.

"His project management experience, versatility and highly relevant business insight make Kristian a strong fit for the position in Group Operations," said Høll.

"He will be a valuable asset in the development of new and existing projects."

Hughes has also previously worked at The Boston Consulting Group (BCG) and Maersk Group in Maersk In-house Consulting

Earlier this week Bunker Holding also announced the hiring of the former managing director of KPI Bridge Oil London Ltd. to work on its internal training and development programs.
