Ascenz Solutions Pte Ltd (Ascenz) has announced the introduction of a voyage management module for its Shipulse solutions suite in response to the European Union's (EU's) Monitoring, Reporting, Verification (MRV) regulation.

Ascenz says Shipulse "encompasses features that equips companies with relevant data required for the submission of monitoring plans and emission reports."

As Ship & Bunker has reported, the MRV regulation will require shipping companies to submit ship-specific monitoring plans to verifiers for approval by the end of the August 2017, with per-voyage monitoring set to start on January 1, 2018.

"Shipulse voyage management solution addresses challenges faced by owners and operators by allowing greater visibility and control over their vessel operations," explains Ascenz.

"Moving towards an increasingly automated system, work processes are streamlined, enabling improved responsiveness, operational performances, and more efficient fleet utilisation."

The company further explains that its offering automatically reflects all voyages within Emission Control Areas (ECAs), enabling vessel operators to make more informed decisions and better evaluate the most cost effective route.
