Rotterdam Sees Dip in Q3 Bunker Sales

A Port of Rotterdam report shows that bunker sales at the port fell to 2.42 million cubic metres (cbm) during the year's third quarter (Q3) compared to 2.67 million cbm during the same period of 2015.

Fuel oil sales at the port dropped to 2.02 million cbm during the period against the 2.21 million cbm recorded for 2015's Q3.

Meanwhile, Rotterdam's MGO and MDO sales dropped by to 378,201 cbm in 2016's Q3, compared to 398,147 cbm in the same period of previous year.

Marine lubricant during saw an increase during the period, swelling to 24,176 cbm from 20,004 cbm during Q3 2015.

As Ship & Bunker reported earlier this month, Singapore bunker sales for September 2016 were mostly flat year on year at 3,831,000 metric tonnes (mt) for all products, according to the latest preliminary data from the Maritime and Port Authority of Singapore (MPA).
