Peter Grunwaldt this month has taken up a new role as Senior Manager at Hafnia Management as the pool moves to bring its bunkering requirements in-house.

Grunwaldt, who started his career in AP Møller as a bunker purchaser in Copenhagen and Singapore, also spent over six years as a trader with Glencore before moving to its Chemoil subsidiary as Director of Global Sales.

After that he held various roles in Soyuz Bunkering Group and Endofa.

"I'm looking forward to returning to the ship owner side, and not least working in an organisation with clear goals and strong leadership. The Hafnia Management's market-leading pool is already well known to deliver cost savings, constant optimization and higher earnings to its members," Grunwaldt told Ship & Bunker.

"By bringing the bunkering requirements in-house we will strive to deliver even greater value."

Hafnia Management is operating 90+ vessels in 3 pools in the Handy, MR and LR1 segment.

They hold a 50 percent stake in Straits Tankers, which operates the worlds largest LR1 fleet together with MOL.
