Gazpromneft Marine Bunker LLC (Gazpromneft) Wednesday announced that it has made its first ship delivery of lube oil to a Chevron Corporation (Chevron) operated tanker at the Russian port of Ust-Luga.

Gazpromneft says its vessel Gazpromneft West provided 13.5 tonnes of TARO 40 XL 40 X to the 40,549 DWT Seamarlin tanker during the operation.

The supply operation is noted to have been completed in accordance with a 2012 agreement with Chevron, outlining the provision and production of marine oil at Omsk and Moscow refineries under the Chevron brand, as well as deliveries within the territories of Russia and the Baltic states.

Earlier deliveries at the port of Ust-Luga are said to have been carried out using road tankers and barrels.

In August, Ship & Bunker reported that Gazpromneft had implemented a major project to optimise its supply vessel, Gazpromneft Zuid, in the Russian port of Murmansk, enabling round the clock supply operations and the provision of three types of lubricants.
