Certas Energy UK Limited (Certas) today announced that it has opened a new bunkering facility on the Thames for the supply of MGO, which will be operated by the company's marine division, Certas Marine Energy.

"The Thames location is a tactical addition to our marine fuel offering, enhancing our storage and supply portfolio. This expansion is in-line with our growth plans in the marine sector and helps us to deliver convenient, cost effective services for our customers," said Gary Byers, General Manager for Certas Energy Marine.

"We have a team of dedicated marine fuel experts who understand the bunkering needs of our marine customers; this, coupled with our commitment to provide the best solution for our customers, makes us stand out from alternative distributors.

Varun Chhabria, Head of Marine and Risk at Certas Energy, says the company works to monitor the market on an ongoing basis to ensure the company's activities are up to date.

Bullish positioning is stretched and price momentum is fading, explains Chhabria of the current situation, adding that forecasting fundamentals show peaks are likely in the coming months.

"With so many moving parts and with no surprise that OPEC has stepped back into market management mode, it has steered in a new era of growth within specific product lines for the oil industry," said Chhabria.

"We at Certas Energy see this as an opportunity for growth within our core product range, thereby maximising our value offering to our existing and even new customers. Strategic positioning, coupled with our added value proposition is our major USP and also a unique attribute which makes us the first choice of supply."

Certas' newest bunkering facility is said to support the company's network, which includes depots located near every major British port, intended to meet all bunkering needs.
