A train drivers' strike in Germany has affected the availability of bunker supply in Hamburg, Platts reports.

According to unnamed sources, the strike is expected to last until at least Saturday.

"We have more and more issues on the avails side...there is a railroad employee strike until the coming weekend or maybe even longer so supplies haven't been able to reach Hamburg," said a trader.

Traders who receive supplies by sea have reportedly not been as affected by the strike, though a recent storm in Hamburg purportedly had some impact on supply Tuesday.

Early this year, the Port of Hamburg was also reported as bracing itself for a Russian shipping slump as the country suffered from the fallout of crashing oil prices.
