MAXCOM BUNKER S.p.A. (Maxcom) today announced that it is now offering low sulfur diesel for Emission Control Area (ECA) compliance to vessels bunkering at German ports.

The company also notes that the new offering will be priced, on average, "reasonably cheaper" than normal DMA 0.1 gasoil, at approximately $25.00 less per metric tonne (pmt).

"The new ULSFO grade will have higher viscosity than the more  common DMA gasoil," explained Maxcom.

"This product is a 100 percent distillate product and can be easily blended with other marine distillates in any proportions."

The new ECA fuel offering is to be delivered via barge at the ports of Hamburg, Cuxhaven, Brunsbüttel, Kiel, and ElbePorts.
