Bad weather causing high seas is disrupting bunkering operations at the Russian Black Sea port of Novorossiysk, a situation which is expected to persist throughout the week, Platts reports.

"We are able to supply inside the port, but not at the anchorage. We are expecting bad weather throughout the week," a trader was quoted as saying.

"The weather is stormy and there is a gale warning and no barge movements today," said a second source.

In August the Novorossiysk bunker market was reported to have grown rapidly this year thanks to lower bunker prices compared with other local markets.
