Bureau Veritas Hires New Global Technical Manager for Marine Fuel Services Team

Classification society Bureau Veritas (BV) has hired Charlotte Røjgaard as its new global technical manager for its marine fuel services team, the classification society announced in an emailed statement. 

The appointment was effective January 1, 2015.

Rojgaard most recently worked as group technical director for fuel tester Veritas Petroleum Services (VPS) at its Singapore headquarters, before which she spent 14 years at MAN Diesel & Turbo.

"Charlotte's arrival will further consolidate our ability to provide customers with industry leading technical expertise" said Ewoud Kamminga, global head of marine fuel. 

The company said that her hiring was representative the company's goal of becoming a global player for marine fuel and lubricants testing and inspection, and that BV had made moves to increase its exposure to the marine fuels sector. 

She will be initially based in Singapore, and will then move to Copenhagen in mid-2015.
