New Board Appointment at World Fuel Services
World Fuel Services Corp. [NYSE:INT] (WFS) Monday announced the appointment of Jorge L. Benitez, the former Chief Executive of North America at Accenture, to its Board of Directors.
Benitez, who retired from Accenture in August 2014 after more than 33 years of service, also served as Chief Operating Officer, Products Operating Group among various other senior leadership roles and other positions since joining the firm in 1981.
"We are extremely pleased to welcome Jorge to our board," said Michael J. Kasbar, chairman and chief executive officer.
"His strategic and operational experience will prove invaluable on our path forward to creating value for our customers, suppliers and shareholders in the years ahead."
Benitez will serve as a member of the Technology and Operations and Governance committees, WFS noted.
In November WFS was one of the major bunker players tipped for growth by analysts following the collapse of OW Bunker.
