BV VeriFuel Looks to Expand Asian Marine Fuel Services with New Business Development Manager
Bureau Veritas S.A. (BV) Wednesday announced that Alex Tang has joined its VeriFuel Marine Fuel Services Team as Regional Business Development Manager for Asia.
Tang will be based at one of BV's largest marine fuel laboratories, located in Singapore, and tasked with overseeing expansion of Marine Fuel Services into Asia.
"Alex's arrival will help us continue our rapid growth in this market and he will further consolidate our ability to provide customers with industry leading knowledge and expertise. We are delighted that he has chosen to join the VeriFuel team," said Ewoud Kamminga, Global Director of Marine Fuel at BV.
Tang, a Chartered Marine Scientist, is said to have started his career at Esso before joining BP plc (BP), specialising in lubricants, and then in 2006 joining Lloyd's Register (LR), becoming LR's Regional Manager for the company's marine fuel testing activity.
In June, BV announced that its fuel monitoring programme, VeriFuel, would become an incentive provider under the Green Award programme.
