Volatile Trading Day for WTI and Brent Markets

WTI and Brent crude oil markets traded sloppy today with volatility surrounding the escalation of events in the Ukraine

The words “civil war” are being muttered and that also had an impact on trading in the equities market, which saw midday lows bounce back in afternoon trading from positive earnings reports of select companies.

Where bunker buyers purchase in the days trading is almost as important as choosing the day in which they ought to buy fuel.

Overall…we are nearing the “driving season” in the United States, a time when people fire up their electric, algae, and ethanol cars to see family.

Wait, that hasn’t happened yet, so bunker buyers beware, when people start cranking their fossil fuel burning air conditioners and driving their gasoline Ford F-150 SUV’s cross country in a few weeks, crude prices will likely firm.

We suggest buying far out and trying to do so on the days or times when the market is soft.
