Clipper Group (Clipper) Wednesday announced that its vessel performance monitoring solution COACH has joined the Green Ship of the Future collaboration project.

COACH is a vessel performance monitoring system that provides ship operators with voyage observation and analysis on hull, propeller, and engine efficiencies, all of which can ultimately result in bunker savings.

"Together we can develop and demonstrate sustainable solutions across the shipping industry in an efficient way, while still keeping commercial feasibility in mind," said Mathias Nyman Rasmussen, Senior Performance Manager for COACH.

"We look forward to a partnership of development and innovation and tackling the sustainability task together."

Clipper was said to have joined more than 40 other firms involved in Green Ship of the Future, a network of shipping companies aiming to improve shipping's environmentally friendliness through innovation and technology.

Clipper notes that, to date, COACH has been installed on more than 325 vessels worldwide.
