GAC’s Global Husbandry Centre (GHC), which provides lubricant and bunker fuel supply services among others, Monday announced that it will now operate 24 hours a day, seven days a week starting this month.

"This means that all our clients now benefit from continuous cover, no matter where in the world they are or what time zone they are in," said Ronald Lichtenecker, Managing Director of GHC.

"We are now manning the phones and monitoring emails at all hours to deliver the most complete support package for all our customers."

The move is said to come in response to the growing demand from the company's shipping principals, for which GHC acts as an integrated point of contact and centralised coordination for all ship husbandry requirements.

GHC says the service offers electronic invoicing and streamlined rates to clients, routing requests from the company's Dubai hub to the respective contact in GAC’s global network, which includes more than 40 countries.

"This is of particular value in cases of emergencies, where our global network puts supplies and assistance within easy reach of vessels anywhere in the world," said Lichtenecker.

Earlier this month, GAC Bunker Fuels Ltd. (GBFL) announced that it has partnered with REV LNG, LLC (REV LNG) and REV LNG Marine to provide liquefied natural gas (LNG) bunkering services to vessels operating in North America.
