Djibouti-based Red Sea Bunkering (RSB) Tuesday said in an emailed note that on November 1 it officially supplied its first STS customer off Djibouti.

The company's vessel Cosmic was said to have supplied an unspecified amount of 380 cSt bunkers to the Vitol chartered MT Nisida.

"Captain Giannis of the Cosmic said that he was pleased with the safety procedures and quality service of RSB first supplies and that operations went smoothly," the company said.

As Ship & Bunker previously reported, RSB plans to expand its offshore products range to include Low sulfur DMA by December 2015, and RME 180 will be available after December 2015.

All fuels are sold as per ISO 8217:2005 specification.

In May Ship & Bunker reported that Djibouti has high expectations of becoming a key port, akin to Dubai or Singapore, and a commercial hub of eastern Africa.
