Shenzhen Biaodian Orders 11 Newbuild LNG Bunker Barges

Shenzhen Biaodian Investment (Shenzhen Biaodian) has ordered 11 liquefied natural gas (LNG) bunkering barges through a $55.6 million contract signed with Qingdao Wuchang Shipbuilding Industry, Splash 24/7 reports.
Further, it is reported that Shenzhen Biaodian will acquire two LNG bunkering barges from Huaqiang Natural Gas, which were built by Wuchang Shipbuilding Industry and are now ready for delivery.
Shenzhen Biaodian, which was founded in December 2015, is noted to be focused on equity investment within the natural gas sector.
In July, a group of 14 major industry players announced that they have come together to form a cross-industry coalition known SEA\LNG, which is intended accelerate the adoption of LNG as marine fuel.
