Cyprus' sales of MGO, along with low sulfur and heavy fuel oil, all fell during the month of November, according to data from the Statistical Service of the Republic of Cyprus (Cystat).

While the exact decline was not specified, it was said to be part of an overall 11.5 percent drop in the sales of petroleum products for the month, with aviation kerosene, and motor gasoline, also included in that total.

The total stocks of petroleum products at the end of the month rose 6.1 percent compared to the previous month.

Year-to-date petroleum product sales, for the period January – November 2015, were up however, rising 5.4 percent compared to the period in 2014.

In 2012 VTT Vasiliko Ltd (Vasiliko) and J&P Group (J&P) announced plans to turn Cyprus into an energy hub.
