Bunker supplier Chemoil is asking a U.S. court to freeze assets of Greece's Gulf Marine Management (Gulf Marine), saying the company owes it $1.7 million, industry news site TradeWinds reports.

Chemoil said it supplied $1.31 million in bunkers to the Artemis Glory in January and that other costs have been added since then.

The company asked a federal court to seize unidentified Gulf Marine assets held by ABN Amro bank and Marathon Oil Corp.

Gulf Marine is said to have transferred management of the Artemis Glory and six other tankers to Dr Peters' DS Tankers in April.

OW Bunker also took legal action against Gulf Marine, having its Leo Glory arrested in India in April over $2.28 million in debt for bunkers supplied to the ship, but the two parties reached a settlement last month, allowing the ship to be released.
