Bunker's Mexico Group (Bunker's Mexico) today announced in an emailed press release the opening of the first ever independent bunker terminal in Mexico.

The bunker supplier said the terminal is located in the port of Lazaro Cardenas on the Pacific coast of Mexico, south of Manzanillo, with "multiple tanks" dedicated to fuel oil and gas oil storage.

The company's total storage capacity, which is both on land and waterborne, is approximately 20,000 metric tonnes.

"Establishing the first ever independent bunker terminal in Mexico is a major step in the growth of our business on the Pacific side," said group CEO Luis Medina.

"This improvement in the supply chain will translate into faster and more efficient service to our customers."

Bunker's Mexico said the facility has both in-line and in-tank blending equipment, and RMG380 and low sulfur MGO DMA are available to ISO 8217:2010 specifications.
