Hong Kong head quartered Noble Bunkers has announced it will start physical bunker supply in the Gulf of Mexico from early June 2012.

The move makes this the Singapore Exchange (SGX) listed firm's second supply location, after it entered the Singapore bunker market in September of 2010.

The company will be offering 3 grades of fuel; high and low sulfur RMG380, with maximum sulfur content of 3.5% and 1.0% respectively, and 1.0% maximum sulfur Marine Gas Oil (DMA), all as per ISO 8217 (2010 Edition) marine fuel standards.

The supplier, which is part of global conglomerate Noble Group Limited (Noble Group), says it will be the only supplier in the Gulf of Mexico market able to offer three different grades of products off the same supply tanker.

Bunkering services will be offered in international waters, off both the Texas and Louisiana coastlines which the company says will allow tanker fleets operating in the area to "avoid costly deviations and port calls to other bunker locations."
