Thailand's Sea Oil Opens Bunker Trading Office in Singapore

Thailand-based Sea Oil has opened a bunker trading office in Singapore, IHS FairPlay reports.

The firm will run Singapore operations through Sea Oil Petroleum Pte Ltd, which records show was incorporated on April 22, 2015,

The new operation is expected to begin fuel oil trading in January 2016.

Koh Kuan Hua, a former senior bunker trader at Dan-Bunkering, will head the new operation.

Sea Oil has been operating since May 1997 in markets such as Thailand, Myanmar, Cambodia, and Laos, in products including fuel oil, diesel, lubricants, and gasoline for tankers, liners, and fishing boats, according to its website.

The firm is listed on the Stock Exchange of Thailand.

In September, Ship & Bunker reported that bunker sales in Singapore during August hit an all-time record.
