LNG Gorskaya LLC (LNG Gorskaya) has signed an agreement with the Port of St. Petersburg's Sea (Marine) Facade passenger port for the development of a liquefied natural gas (LNG) bunkering infrastructure, according to industry news reports.

As Ship & Bunker reported in July, LNG Gorskaya said Russia's Federal Marine and River Transport Agency (Rosmorrechflot) had given approval for investments into the construction of Russia's first LNG port in St. Petersburg - a development which will include bunkering.

Under the new agreement, LNG Gorskaya is slated to begin LNG bunkering operations at the passenger port beginning January 1, 2018.

Last month, Ship & Bunker reported that authorities of Mõntu Harbour in Estonia had signed an agreement of intent with LNG Gorskaya Overseas Ou (LNG Gorskaya Overseas) for the development of a LNG bunkering centre at the harbour.
