Russia-based Rosneft saw bunker sales rise 21 percent in 2014 compared to the year before, Russian market specialists IAA PortNews reports

Volumes were reported to have risen to almost four million tonnes, with the company finishing the year with a 24 percent share of Russia's bunkering market.

Rosneft said that the growth was largely driven by optimizing the company's operations, in addition to the introduction of two new fuel products, RME180 and RMG380.

The company also said that its subsidiary, bunkering company RN-Bunker LLC, had been involved in the drilling of a northern Arctic well in the Kara Sea over the past year.

Late last year, RN Bunker launched a new bunker tanker to operate at Tuapse port.
