UK supplier Geos Group has made its first successful ex-rack delivery of marine gas oil (MGO) at the Port of Aberdeen, the company has announced.

In addition to a new ex-rack supply facility, a new loading arm enabling ex-rack operations was recently installed, Geo Group said.

The new loading arm is reportedly more environmentally friendly than previous top-loading models, with a design said to minimizes spillage and fumes.

The new facility is also located near the Geos Group’s fuel storage tank, which the company said also features a large turning circle for oil tankers to ensure fast loading times.

Earlier this year, the company announced that it had a signed a deal allowing Phillips 66 to operate all ex-rack road loading services from Geos Group's Port of Blyth storage facility.
