Glander International Bunkering Thursday announced it has hired a new bunker and lubricant trader at its Dubai office.

Andreas Johansen previously worked as a trader in shipping operations and commercial shipping, having focused mostly on the Middle East and Scandinavia while based in London and Dubai.

In 2013 he also worked for International Bunkering prior to their acquisition of U.S. bunker trading and brokering firm Glander International, and subsequent rebranding as Glander International Bunkering.

"Glander International Bunkering's rapid growth and expansion cannot be possible without strong team members who hold commitment and pride," said CEO Christoffer Berg Lassen.

"These attributes are evident in Andreas, in addition, his reliability and wide understanding of the markets makes him a core member of the Glander International Bunkering team."

Johansen is also fluent in English and Norwegian

Glander has hired a number of new staff in recent months, including a handful of ex-OW staff for its expanding Brazil team and three former interns across different offices.
