Titan LNG B.V. (Titan LNG) has issued a request for quotes for the fabrication of a liquefied natural gas (LNG) bunkering pontoon from several Eastern European shipbuilders, Maritime Journal reports.

As Ship & Bunker has previously reported, Titan LNG has designed and developed what it says is the first LNG bunkering pontoon in Northwest Europe, the LNG Flex-Fueler.

"We plan to get the hull fabricated in Eastern Europe where prices are low and then have the pontoon towed to Holland for final fitting out," said Michael Schaap, Commercial Director Marine at Titan LNG.

"We are currently finalising the berth for our new pontoon with the Port of Amsterdam," noted Schaap.

In May, Titan LNG hailed what it called the first debunkering of a LNG powered inland waterway barge, the Greenstream in the Dutch port of Moerdijk.
