OW Bunker Expands Physical Supply Team in North America

OW Bunker announced Tuesday in an emailed press release the expansion of its physical supply operation in North America with the appointment of Georgia Kounalakis who will be based out of Stamford, Connecticut.

Kounalakis, who joins OW Bunker from Aegean Marine Petroleum Network Inc. [NYSE: ANW] (Aegean) where she most recently held the position of General Manager – Americas, was said to be a highly experienced marine fuels professional having joined Aegean in 2001 and worked both in Greece and the U.S..

Her role at OW Bunker sees her take on responsibility for business development and to help to drive further sales growth across North America.

"Georgia brings a wealth of experience and a strong record of success both in managing physical distribution operations as well as new business development and management across the region," said Adrian Tolson, General Manager, OW Bunker – North America.

"Her wide knowledge of the bunker market and her clear understanding of the customers and their key concerns are important assets as we look forward [to] ensuring that as a company we grow and develop in line with the changing needs of our customers."

In August OW Bunker announced it has entered into a partnership with fuel marketing and transportation company Petrocosta CI SA (Petrocosta) that will see further development of OW Bunker's physical supply network in Latin America.
