Glander International Bunkering Hires New Bunker Trader in Dubai
Glander International Bunkering (GIB) Tuesday announced it has hired a new bunker and lubricants trader for its Dubai team.
Luis Cañizales is a graduate of the Premier Maritime institution, USA and joins the company with "extensive studies and experience" in the maritime industry.
Cañizales was born in Mexico City and speaks English and Portuguese as well as Spanish.
He specialises in South American ports.
"Being able to have clear, two way communications with our customers is paramount to our business," said CEO Christoffer Berg Lassen.
"As we operate in ports all over the world, having an experienced multilingual team allows for impeccable communication and negotiation.
"Luis is highly skilled in cross cultural communications; in addition to this, ‘his can do’ attitude makes him an asset to our team."
In December, GIB expanded its Brazil team, hiring eight ex-OW Bunker personnel.
