June bunker sales in the port of Singapore were down 7.25 percent month-on-month and down 3.00 percent year-on-year to 3,373,800 metric tonnes (mt), according to the latest data published by the Maritime and Port Authority of Singapore (MPA).

Despite the dip in volumes, year-to-date sales for the first 6 months of 2014 are on par with the same period in 2013 at 20,844,400 mt, just 42,300 mt less than the sales total at this point last year.

Vessel calls at the port for the month were down just 3.12 percent over last month to 11,227, and calls for bunkers dropped 6.85 percent month-on-month to 3,074, 153 fewer than in June 2013.
