Glander Hires New Traders for Dubai and Mumbai

Glander International Bunkering this week announced that it has hired a new bunker and lubricant trader in Dubai, as well as a new senior bunker and lubricants trader in Mumbai who will also become a team leader.

Shahid Malik will take up the position in Dubai , while Sumit K Dhawan will be in Mumbai.

The supplier said that Malik comes with eight years' worth of bunkering industry experience in which he has worked in the USA, Karachi, Saudi Arabia and the Middle East.

He can also speak Urdu, Hindi, Punjabi, conversational Arabic and English.

"Cultural awareness is important to our business especially considering our global market existence," said Glander CEO Christoffer Berg Lassen.

"Mr. Malik not only offers years of valuable bunkering experience, he too has worked in a diversified amount of regions making him a vital link in our company and our global office culture."

Meanwhile, Dhawan is fluent in English, Hindi and Punjabi, and has also had more than seven years of experience in the bunker and cargo trading industry.

He also has "considerable experience" in bunker supplies for the India sub-continent, Singapore, Fujairah and the Amsterdam, Rotterdam, Antwerp (ARA) region, said Glander.

'The growing Indian bunkering requirements have encouraged us to increase our office size in Mumbai and raise its efficiency," said Berg Lassen.
