A/S Dan-Bunkering Ltd. (Dan Bunkering) has reorganised its management structure in Asia, effective today, the company said in an emailed press release.

"We must secure our position in the Asian region and look for further opportunities in this for us very important region," said CEO Henrik Zederkof.

"In order to achieve this, Managing Director of Dan-Bunkering (Singapore) Pte. Ltd., Morten Tranberg Mortensen, has been promoted to Head of Operations Asia, Senior Vice President and will in his new position join Dan-Bunkering's management team."

In his new position, Morten will be responsible for all of the company's Asia operations, including its two offices in China.

"I am convinced that Morten with his substantial experience from the shipping business and proven track record in sales, procurement and not least management is the ideal candidate to lead and develop Dan-Bunkering's Asian business," Zederkof said.

Also as part of the restructuring, Henrik Ladekjær was appointed Group Credit Manager, giving him responsibility for the company's worldwide credit management operations.

Mikkel Søholm Vestergaard was made Group Manager for Recruitment & Training, making him responsible for creating and maintaining education programs for Dan-Bunkering traders worldwide and for recruiting for open positions.

Dan-Bunkering hired Mortensen in February as sales manager for its Singapore office and later promoted him to managing director in Singapore, effective May 1.
