A refinery terminal at Fujairah will include 19 above-ground tanks as well as a 7,500-barrels per day (bpd) modular refinery, industry news site Oil and Gas Journal reports.

Ecomar Energy Solutions FZC (EES) contracted with Cylingas Co. LLC (Cylingas), a subsidiary of Emirates National Oil Co. (ENOC) for the design, construction, and commissioning of the refinery, tanks, and an associated piping system.

The tanks will have a total capacity of 91,000 cubic meters and will hold naptha, diesel, gas oil, fuel oil, kerosene, slop, and water.

Cylingas will set up equipment and vessels for the project, as well as providing engineering design, fabrication, inspection, painting, pipeline commissioning, and other services for the terminal.

The project is scheduled for completion in 17 months, and design work has already begun.

Royal Vopak announced late last year that it would add 478,000 cubic meters of crude oil storage capacity at Fujairah, already one of the world's three biggest oil storage hubs, through a joint venture with another ENOC subsidiary.
